The adage “time is money” is a truism among Americans today, and it reflects our culture’s fundamentally economic attitude toward time. While an economic approach to time may make us more productive, viewing time as a scarce commodity can be spiritually crippling. This sermon explores sacred orientations toward time from various spiritual traditions in order to help each of us more fully inhabit the gift we have been given: a single lifetime.
